Aquatic Habitat Restoration

This section of the river flows through two private properties that entered into an agreement with NRCS and Trout Unlimited. Urbani Fisheries in conjunction with the NRCS and Trout Unlimited worked for three years through the permitting process to eventually begin the restoration work on February 21st and completed on February 28th.

The scope of work included restoration and habitat enhancement for adult and juvenile trout on 2,500 linear feet of river. Work included river survey, river & habitat assessment, river design, agency site reviews, re-organization of existing structures, pool and riffle creation, point bar creation, riverbank stabilization by thalweg re-direction and boulder cluster placement.

Urbani Fisheries in conjunction with the Heritage Conservancy and Trout Unlimited worked for three years through the permitting process to eventually begin the restoration work on February 18th and completed on February 20th.
